Former President Trump slams critics at length social media posts Sunday specifically targeted former Trump administration official Myles Taylor, who in 2018 declared himself part of the “resistance” against Trump.
Taylor, a former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security, wrote an anonymous op-ed for the New York Times criticizing President Trump’s character from the perspective of an administration official. He revealed that he wrote this work in 2020.
President Trump has claimed that mainstream media networks, such as CNN and MNBC, which he frequently despises, are intentionally lifting up criticism of Taylor to increase their viewership.
“So many lights and fakes have appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and other networks and platforms that have challenged the ratings, pretending to know me as if I were a long-lost relative. But the truth is, you just don’t know anything about me or anything about me,” he wrote on Truth Social.
Trump also took a jab at former White House chief of staff John Kelly, whom he has frequently criticized.
“A weak, pathetic RINO named Miles Taylor who worked with John Kelly, one of the dumber generals around, speaks as if he knows everything about Trump. ” Trump continued. “I have no idea who the hell he is since his time in power, other than seeing him on TV.” I think he’s a fraud because he gets paid to talk about topics he knows nothing about,” he said. .”
“But that doesn’t matter to NBC, which to me is one of the worst news organizations in the world,” he added. “There are many other scammers like this, but as soon as I get a chance I will let you all know who they are. The truth!”
The comments came as Trump’s criminal trial in New York begins, the first-ever criminal trial for a former US president.
