Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón on Tuesday charged 29-year-old Ephraim Hunter with felony robbery and criminal damage to property.

Hunter allegedly broke into Bass’ home on Sunday by breaking a glass door. The mayor and his family were inside at the time of the break-in and were unharmed.

Hunter allegedly left bloodstains on the home and caused between $5,000 and $10,000 in damage.

Gascón claims Hunter was targeting the mayor.

Hunter has a criminal history, including serving a seven-year sentence for a 2015 attack.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
