Jared Moskowitz briefly likes Michael Rapaport post telling AOC to ‘F–k off’

Rep. Jared Moskowitz may not have the right words for his Democratic colleague Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but it looks like they might not be in English.

After a social media spat with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), the Florida congressman tweeted that outspoken actor Michael Rapaport asked, “What is the Hebrew translation for F-off lady? ” and briefly liked a post that insulted the lawmaker.

Moskowitz (D-Fla.) later opposed the X-post.

The exchange began when Mr. Moskowitz called out Sen. Bernie Sanders, R-Vermont, over his frustration at being blocked from voting on an amendment to reduce aid to Israel.

Sanders called the ordeal “a dark day for democracy.” But Moskowitz had other ideas.

“Bernie, do your anti-Semitism this time. Why are you so quiet?” the Florida Democrat charged.

Ocasio-Cortez also spoke out.

“Sen. Mr. Sanders’ family was murdered in the Holocaust. He dedicates every moment to making Tikkun Olam a reality. His commitment to protecting the innocent people of Gaza is a testament to his Jewish values. “It comes from watching,” she posted on X.

“He and many other Jewish leaders deserve better than to be treated this way. This is embarrassing.”

“Tikkun Olam” is a Jewish term that refers to activities that make the world a better place.

Ms. Moskowitz, who is Jewish, fired back, passionately recalling her own tragic family history.

“My family was also killed in the Holocaust. In Germany and in Poland. My grandmother was in the kindergarten pickup and drop-off,” he wrote.

“They instilled values in me. That’s why I voted for aid to Israel and aid to Gaza. We see each other at work, but we’re here. It’s better than working.”

For this reason, the congressman apparently liked Rappaport’s post asking for a “Hebrew translation of F-Off Lady.”

Ocasio-Cortez noticed something similar before she was hated on her account.

“Is this what you mean?” she asked in response to Moskowitz’s post about values.

Moskowitz and Ocasio-Cortez both served on the House Oversight Committee and fought the Republican impeachment inquiry targeting President Biden.

Moskowitz has emerged as one of the most vocal defenders of Israel among House Democrats as the issue sharply divides the party’s base.

Ocasio-Cortez, meanwhile, has been a vocal critic of Israel, even labeling the war with Hamas a “genocide” after coming under pressure to do so from Israel’s left.

The House of Representatives voted Saturday to approve a $26.38 billion package that includes support for both Israel and Palestine.

The Senate on Tuesday proposed a version of the bill that combines aid to Ukraine and Taiwan, as well as measures to sell TikTok. Biden then signed it.

Ocasio-Cortez voted against the Israel aid package in the House, and Sanders voted against the package in the Senate.

The newspaper has reached out to representatives for Moskowitz and Ocasio-Cortez for comment.

In addition to confronting members of his own party over Israel, Mr. Moskowitz also pushed Republicans to find out who voted against the Ukraine aid package.

He also mused about bailing out House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) in the event of a Republican revolt that brought the Ukraine aid to the floor for a vote.

“My position hasn’t changed. Massey wants the world to burn, and I’m not going to stand by. There’s water in the bucket.” Posted by Moskowitz on X last week.
