College Protests Aren’t Pro-Palestinian, They’re Anti-Israel and Antisemitic

On Thursday’s “NewsNation Live” broadcast, Rep. Cathy Manning (D-N.C.) said the protests on college campuses are not just pro-Palestinian, they are anti-Semitic and anti-Israel. , said the protesters “don’t know anything or don’t seem to know anything.” The idea is that Hamas has rejected five different proposals for a ceasefire. They refuse to release the hostages, refuse to surrender, and continue to operate hidden among civilians. [are] What is prolonging this conflict? ”

“The voices of the demonstrators who oppose the release of American hostages and the actions of Hamas not only against Israel but against the Palestinian people are not being heard,” Manning said.

Host Marni Hughes then said, “Pro-Palestinians, that’s what they’ve been called for the past few days, which as far as you’ve seen, has been a big part of the pro-Palestinian protests, the anti-Semitism, the anti-Israel protests. Is it safe to say that it far exceeds that?” ”

Mr. Manning replied: This is a different situation than one where one would expect people to stage protests in order to reach a proper settlement. [for] What’s going on in the Middle East, by the way, these admirers either have no idea, or don’t seem to know, that Hamas has rejected five different proposals for a ceasefire. They refuse to release the hostages, refuse to surrender, and continue to operate hidden among civilians. [are] What is prolonging this conflict? And I want universities to not only be able to control what happens on their campuses, but also to use this as an educational opportunity to teach us what’s really going on in the Middle East, the long history of conflict, and also… Teach your students about the dangers of anti-Semitism, not just to Jews, but to the foundations of our democracy. ”
