Packers fan absolutely distraught by Jordan Morgan NFL draft pick

The Packers beefed up their offensive line Thursday night, but one of the team’s supporters wasn’t having it.

With the 25th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Packers selected offensive tackle Jordan Morgan from Arizona State to protect quarterback Jordan Love.

And even after he earned All-Pac-12 honors in 2023 and recorded just two sacks on 787 snaps, one Packers fan who was watching the draft unfold live in Detroit was disappointed when the pick was announced. I forgot.

After Commissioner Roger Goodell called the nomination, the camera on the ESPN feed cut to a fan wearing a Love jersey and cheese head recording the nomination on his cell phone.

The wide-mouthed, completely stunned look on his face while the fans around him literally pointed and laughed at his sacrifice said it all.

He seemed taken aback by the choice and bowed his head in disappointment.

“That cheesehead doesn’t seem thrilled,” Mike Greenberg said on the broadcast.

It’s unclear who the fans wanted the Packers to take that spot, but it’s clear that fans were unhappy with the move.

The paper’s Steve Serby predicted the Packers would take an offensive tackle at No. 25 in his final mock draft, but Amarius Mims was taken by the Bengals at No. 18 and was unavailable.

The Packers fan did not share the same sentiments as others involved in the game, as David Bakhtiari, now a free agent and 10-year veteran of the Packers’ offensive line, praised the selection.

“Let’s go!!!!! Good luck to Jordan Morgan.” I wrote to X. “I express my position, my city, and my G with pride. #GoPackGo #Pac12Guy”

Robert Griffin III wrote that Morgan is the perfect replacement for Bakhtiari.

“The Packers are Packers, but Jordan Morgan is their pick when they just lost the great David Bakhtiari.” Griffin Posted in X. “The Packers made the right choice, the smart choice, and Jordan Love will be grateful to them. Jordan Morgan is big, smart and talented. He will develop into a starter quickly.”

Morgan battled injuries during his time at Arizona, but still started 37 games.
