Disgraced former Paralympic track and field athlete Oscar Pistorius has been prosecuted for the second time in eight years after being released from prison for murdering his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Pistorius, now 37, served nine years of a 13-year sentence for shooting Steenkamp, 29, on Valentine’s Day 2013.
During the trial, the defendant claimed that he thought Steenkamp was a robber when he fired shots through the closed bathroom door during the night.
Prosecutors argued that he knew it was her on the other side of the door because they had just gotten into an argument and saw her run in and close the door.

In images first captured by South African news site Netwerk24, the former track and field athlete is all smiles, but he looks like a shadow of his former self, now completely gray and suffering from a previous prison sentence. It is clearly thinner than the weight gain of .
Since his release in January, Pistorius has been sheltering at his uncle’s residence in Pretoria. Sources told the Mirror that he has been exercising regularly since his release and is also following a strict diet that does not include alcohol.
He is also eligible for parole until 2029. However, they must follow a strict set of rules, including random check-ins by parole officers, and are prohibited from using social media or having contact with the new party’s Steenkamp family. The York Post reported.
Pistorius will also have to undergo an “anger management” course to deal with his rages, which prosecutors believe led to Riva’s murder, the Mirror said.

One of Mr Steenkamp’s friends told the Mirror that the recent photos were very disturbing.
“It’s very disturbing to see Pistorius smiling like he doesn’t have a care in the world. If I could, I would wipe that smile off his face, because of what I did. I don’t know how he even sleeps at night,” a friend, who asked not to be named, told the Mirror.
The New York Post also previously reported that he had trouble finding work when he was first released from prison.
A member of the South African Paralympic Committee said: “He is too toxic to work with right now.” new york post, after Pistorius allegedly contacted them in an attempt to find a job there. “There’s nothing here for him.”

Before becoming a murderer, Pistorius was a Paralympic track star who earned the name “.blade runner“Because he used a prosthetic leg to compete against able-bodied athletes. He competed in the 2012 London Olympics and made history.”
He was born without fibulas in both legs and had both of his legs amputated below the knees before his first birthday.
