Olu Fashanu’s mother and what appears to be his girlfriend were in the spotlight at the offensive tackle’s NFL Draft celebration Thursday night.
The unidentified blonde who is said to be dating Paige Fashanu and the former Penn State star came after the Jets selected Fashanu, 21, with the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The reaction became a hot topic.
Many described how Paige appeared to box the blonde out as she tried to inch closer to the couch to celebrate with Fashanu.
Page was sitting between his son and the blond player, hugging the 6-foot-6, 312-pound tackle when he accidentally bumped into his son.
Paige seemed overly excited, no one would ever be in that position, but she ended up putting her arm around the blonde and they had a sweet moment.
They were also seen holding hands before NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the picks.
But of course the internet didn’t stop it either.
“My girlfriend couldn’t get in there no matter what.” someone wrote.
“His mother was definitely a pass pro to that girlfriend. If he’s half as good as she is, we’ll be ready for the next decade.” Another one added.

SportsCenter anchors Randy Scott and Gary Strewski agreed, dedicating a segment to the moment on Friday’s show.
“This is a textbook. If you’re reaching out, I’m teaching you,” Striewski said, referring to the blonde who reached out to Paige to reach Fashanu.
They kept pausing the clip’s playback for dramatic effect.
“Mom’s going to get a hug,” Scott said, to which Striewski replied, “She deserves a hug first.”
Then they played a portion of a clip of Page pumping his right fist in the air.

“She’s creating separation,” Striewski said. “She’s a pass pro!”
Scott agreed, saying, “Her skills are his skills, and she’s just reincarnated into him.”
“Mom could be taken on the second or third night of the draft,” Striewski added.
Fashanu is a two-time All-American and was named the 2023 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year.
