The NFL broke the record for most offensive players on Thursday night by selecting 23 first-round offensive players.
The previous record was 19, set three times, the last time being in 2009.
Not many people have seen six quarterbacks taken in the first round (tying a record), much less six in the first 12 picks (setting a record). There wasn’t.
This is a pool of players that provides many options for futures betting on NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Let’s take a look at the odds announced at the end of the first round and the top winning candidates.

Top candidates for OROY
Caleb Williams case
As expected, No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams is the favorite of this group, and he would be my pick to receive today’s award.
With an elite wide receiver trio featuring DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and fellow rookie Roma Odunze, the Bears’ offense is loaded, and Williams is poised to make an immediate impact.
Williams is a poor 50/1 to win NFL MVP, the lowest of any rookie in the past 15 years.
But I don’t like putting money into a 2-1 future with over four months until the start of the NFL season.
The case of Marvin Harrison Jr.
Marvin Harrison Jr. should immediately put up video game numbers in the Cardinals’ offense as Kyler Murray’s WR1.
You might think they’d have a high chance of double teams, but Ohio State was able to beat them consistently.
He is one of the most pro-ready wideouts in recent memory and should produce at an elite level right off the jump.
There’s no excuse not to bet him at +600 (implied 14% chance) in this market.
Jaden Daniels case
My favorite bet on the board is Jaden Daniels at 14-1.
Daniels, the No. 2 draft pick, won the Heisman Trophy last season at LSU, passing for nearly 5,000 yards and rushing for 50 total touchdowns.
Do you want to bet on the NFL?
He would be a great fit for the offense Kliff Kingsbury wants to run in Washington and will work with two talented wide receivers in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson.
Daniels has odds as low as +650 at other sportsbooks, so if you have access to FanDuel, you’ll want to act quickly.
