In addition to PepsiCo recalling Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale, the company is now recalling Magroot Beer Soda as well.

The company recalled more than 2,000 cases of regular mug root beer after reports that the cans actually contained mugs of “Zero Sugar” root beer.
The recall began on March 22nd.n.d.But the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officially announced its investigation for the first time on Wednesday.
The recall affects 2,801 12-pack cases of soda sold in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Oklahoma, according to the notice.
The products subject to the recall have the code “JUL2224XXXXAS02234” and expiration date “July 22, 2024” written on the case packaging.
This announcement comes shortly after Pepsi recalled Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale caffeine-free beverage cans due to the presence of regular full sugar soda pop.
The notice said an “internal investigation” revealed that 233 cans of ginger ale labeled as “zero sugar” were actually “full sugar products.”
The sugar in soda is considered harmful to many consumers, such as diabetics who intentionally try to avoid sugar.
The affected cans had the code information “May 20th and 24th, MAY20240520VS02164 – MAY20240550VS02164” and were shipped to three states: Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Regarding the investigation regarding ginger ale cans that started on March 9thth, which is still “work in progress,” according to the FDA. Applies to cases containing 7.5 fl oz (221 ml) cans of ginger ale: UPC 0 78000 02965 9.
However, because this recall was only recently reported by the FDA, it is unclear whether the mislabeled mug root beer is still being sold in stores.
