An undocumented immigrant has been charged with the “extremely gruesome” murders of a 36-year-old mother and her 4-year-old daughter in Hillsborough County, Florida, Sheriff Chad Chronister said.
Angel Gabriel Kuzchok, 31, is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. arrested He was then charged with the murders of 36-year-old Amalia Kok Chok de Pek and her daughter, 4-year-old Estrella Anastasia Peck Kok.
On April 24, Kuzczuk brutally stabbed Amalia and her daughter to death, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said. Amalia’s body was found by police in a pool of blood in the backyard of the mansion, and Estrella’s body was found inside the mansion.
“When officers arrived at the scene, it was immediately apparent that it was an extremely gruesome scene. A horrific scene,” Chronister said at a news conference. “An adult female was lying in a pool of blood in the backyard of her home. We believe her bloody handprints were hers, and she was fighting for her life to escape the violence. .”
After arriving at the scene of the serial murders, police officers noticed that the suspect had fled. After searching for less than 24 hours, officers found Kuzchok hiding in a wooded area less than three miles from the residence.
Thanks to a K9 dog finding Kuzchok, officers were able to take him into custody, where they said he confessed to the murder.
Chronister said Kuzczuk had a romantic relationship with Amalia, but Estrella was not his daughter. She said the girl’s biological father is believed to be in Guatemala.
Chronister said Kuzchok is believed to have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border about seven months ago, possibly with Amalia and Estrella states, before moving to Hillsborough County.
“Not only did he commit an unimaginable crime in brutally taking the lives of two innocent victims, he then made a despicable and ultimately futile attempt to evade arrest,” Chronister said. Stated.
Kuzczuk is being held in the Hillsborough County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder.
