If you watched Bills draft pick Keon Coleman’s induction press conference expecting to hear some football talk, you’ll get much more than that.
Coleman, a former Florida State Seminole who became the No. 1 pick in the second round after being acquired by Buffalo in a trade on Friday, appeared at a news conference wearing a yellow winter jacket. The coat caught the attention of a reporter, and before he could ask a single question about soccer, he asked about the jacket.
Coleman revealed he bought the coat at Macy’s after reminding reporters that he played two years at Michigan State before transferring to Florida State. But that’s not all. He then detailed the coat’s price and color selection.
“Hey, did you forget that I went to school in Michigan for two years?” Coleman said. “By the way, where do you think you got this? You’d be wrong, but guess what? No, Macy’s, what do you mean? On sale at Rack. All colors: $79, $89, It’s a good deal. You can get a trench coat for about $100. I’ll take you there personally. I need some more colors.
So the reporter decided to test Coleman’s knowledge by asking him about the sales available at Macy’s during Thanksgiving. But Coleman revealed he has his own shopping strategy.
“Look, I don’t know anything about Thanksgiving. I shop like my mom does, and I buy coats in the summer,” Coleman said. “Just to be sure, you should shop a season or two in advance. Then it’ll be cheaper. ‘Cause you’re going to Thanksgiving, everyone’s coming for Thanksgiving, so I Do you understand what I’m saying?

If Macy’s hasn’t signed an endorsement deal over the phone with Coleman’s agent, something is wrong.
But the fun wasn’t over yet.
Coleman dabbles in both guitar playing and golf. He held nothing back after reporters asked him about his skill level in each field.
“Oh, I can’t play guitar,” the former Seminole confessed. “I can play a few little strings, but I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s just fun. I’m just relaxing. And I can play a little bit of golf, too. Like I said, I’m a Tiger, I wish I could. I can drive pretty well, just barely. I’m good at it. The ball goes over the net and returns to the net, but on a real course, I might lose if I hit the green.”
Coleman wasted no time at the end of the press conference. As soon as the press was finished, he asked for free food.

Buffalo reporters will have their hands full covering Coleman. It seems like there are many opportunities to talk about him. The Bills are very thin at receiver, and Coleman is expected to play early and often.
