Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was shot Saturday night at a Florida nightclub, the Associated Press reported.
Dell suffered minor injuries and was released from the hospital. according to To AP.texans Confirmed According to a statement posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Dell was involved in the shooting incident.

The details of the shooting are currently under investigation. It has not been confirmed whether Dell’s injuries are related to another Sanford incident at a party that night. In the incident, a 16-year-old boy reportedly shot and killed 10 people at a private event. according to To AP. The incident occurred at Cabana Live nightclub, where also statement. Authorities said a verbal altercation quickly escalated and the suspect fired shots at those in attendance, not at Dell. according to To USA Today. The injuries sustained were reportedly not life-threatening.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling the area around Cabana Live because of the large crowd when officers heard gunshots, the newspaper reported. The suspect was reportedly apprehended by security guards on duty at the venue. According to the newspaper, police took the suspect to a juvenile detention center and charged him with four crimes, including attempted murder and use of a firearm in a felony.
Dell, a rookie standout, made headlines last season with 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns before having his season cut short with a foot injury in Week 13, USA Today reported.
Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Dell is making good progress in his rehabilitation and plans to return to offseason training.
