After Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry’s dramatic victory at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans, the two Irishmen still celebrated by sipping an adult beverage or two while wearing Mardi Gras beads. continued.

“It’s great to win a PGA Tour event, but to win with a close friend who you’ve known for probably over 20 years, where you met him and where he came from. And to be on this stage and do this together, it’s been a really, really amazing journey that we’ve been a part of,” McIlroy said.
“It’s really great to be able to do that with this guy.”
Lowry agreed with that opinion.
“I’m glad, I’m glad we won. It’s been a fun week. Everything was great,” Lowry said.
“We went out there, had a lot of fun, and won the tournament. I couldn’t have asked for a better week.”
The Irish duo had a great week in New Orleans. The most memorable moment may not have happened on the golf course, but in the media center, where McIlroy channeled his inner Steve Perry and blew the night away.
