Georgia’s Kirby Smart Lands $13 Million-Per-Year Contract To Become Highest-Paid Coach In College Football: REPORT

The University of Georgia’s Kirby Smart signed a huge contract extension on Thursday, cementing his status as the highest-paid coach in college football, reports reported. The Athletic. The expansion itself was confirmed by the Bulldogs program. The deal will see Smart receive a whopping $13 million annually.

Under the contract, Smart will receive a $1.75 million annual salary increase, which is now locked in through 2033. Under the new 12-team playoff structure, he could earn up to $1.55 million in annual bonuses. This is an increase of $1.3 million from his previous contract.

Bulldogs athletic director Josh Brooks also made the extension and raise a success. His new contract gives him a one-year extension through 2030 and a $100,000 annual raise. Brooks will earn $1.275 million over the course of his contract.

You all know me…I’m always happy to see someone receive money.

And heck, considering the fact that Kirby Smart won, I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner 2 national championships For the Bulldogs, though, better late than never, right?
