Police say cartel hitmen used photos of her meals posted on Instagram to hunt down and kill an Ecuadorian beauty queen in broad daylight. Investigators believe the 23-year-old model was shot because of her past relationship with a married drug lord.
Shocking surveillance video shows the moment a beauty pageant contestant was murdered inside a restaurant in Quevedo, Ecuador.
Surveillance camera footage showed Randy Paraga Goiburo dining with a man at a restaurant on Sunday afternoon. Suddenly, a masked assailant bursts through the front door and shoots the model dead. A second gunman secures the front entrance. The two were seen running away from the crime scene after the beautiful model was shot three times. Goibro dies, left in a pool of his own blood.
Authorities suspect this deadly blow job was ordered by the spouse of a drug lord rumored to have ties to Mr. Goibro.
In December, Goibro’s name reportedly came up in a text message conversation with late drug trafficker Leandro Norero and his accountant Helib Angulo.
Norello reportedly claimed, “If my wife finds out anything about her, I’m screwed.” I have written “My friend, her name won’t be mentioned anywhere or my world will fall apart.”
The attorney general’s office is reportedly investigating Goibro’s financial affairs, but she was not charged with any crime.
Norero was later arrested and murdered in prison after just six months in prison.
Mr. Goibro has not publicly commented on Norero or his alleged criminal organization.

Goiburo participated in the 2022 Miss Ecuador beauty pageant as a representative of Los Rios province.
In her last Instagram post on Wednesday, Paraga wrote, “The world is an echo. What you put into it is what gets you out of it.”
