Multinational automaker Stellantis plans to launch its first hydrogen-fueled vehicle for the U.S. market using the Mexican-made Ram 5500 truck.
Stellantis executives announced The company’s hydrogen-fueled Ram 5500 heavy-duty pickup truck will be built in Mexico and sold in the U.S. market, with a focus on hydrogen-friendly California.
“We have begun production of heavy-duty vehicles in Poland this year, and we expect development to continue rapidly, especially of the fuel cell version of the large Ram 5500,” said Jan-Michael Billig of Stellantis. Wert am Sonntaga German newspaper.
Specifically, Stellantis will produce hydrogen Ram 5500 trucks at its Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Saltillo, Mexico.
