Crime can happen anywhere, even at 30,000 feet.
Unruly travelers are not uncommon on airplanes. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there were 2,075 fraudulent passenger reports in 2023, resulting in 512 investigations, 402 enforcement actions, and $7.5 million in fines.
Below are just a few of the brawls that took place at American airports and in the skies last year.

1. Argument at baggage claim at Chicago O’Hare Airport
In May 2023, a large-scale brawl broke out at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The altercation was captured on video near the baggage claim area.
In May 2023, the Chicago Police Department said in a statement to FOX News Digital: “An argument escalated during disembarkation on the lower level of Terminal 3, resulting in a 24-year-old female victim being beaten by two offenders. ” he said.
In the video, many punches are thrown, people are tackled, and two women are seen grabbing each other’s hair.
The video focuses on two women for about 20 seconds. Two women are lying on the floor and scratching each other’s hair. Four other women come to them to end the altercation. Once they break up, one of the women from the floor starts punching the other two women.
Behind the fighting women, at least four men are punching each other and a woman is working to break up the fight near a conveyor belt. When the woman removes the supposed acquaintance from the fight, the remaining three men leave and begin fighting other patrons. One of the men is seen throwing the woman to the ground and punching her repeatedly in the face.
During the second altercation, another woman on the floor can be seen in the background, and the video shows her kicking the man.

As a result of the scuffle, two people, 18-year-old Christopher Hampton and 20-year-old Thembra Hicks, were arrested and both were charged with one misdemeanor count of assault, FOX News Digital reported.
A brawl caught on video at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport led to two arrests.
“Safety and security are always the Chicago Department of Aviation’s top priorities,” the airport operator told Fox32 Chicago at the time. “We are working closely with all of our federal partners at O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport, as well as the Chicago Police Department, to ensure that everyone within our facilities is safe.”
2. Atlanta Spirit Airlines Brawl
In May 2023, a brawl broke out at a Spirit Airlines boarding gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
During the incident, a Spirit Airlines employee was allegedly attacked by a woman who claimed to be pregnant, according to police documents.
As a result of the incident, Que Maria Scott was charged with disorderly conduct, Fox News Digital reported.
Police body camera video of the incident at the airport shows a commotion heard shortly after approaching the boarding gate.
Scott could be heard screaming, “I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant.”
“I didn’t do anything to anybody,” Scott said after the officer handcuffed him. “You really just booked me. That’s amazing. I’ll have your face in my head forever.”
The victim in the incident, an airline manager named Jasmine Roden, told police that she decided to intervene after the women tried to fight one of the gate staff.

“Ms. Rhoden said Q. Scott put her boarding pass in his pocket, pulled up his sweatpants, and began attacking her by waving his arms and punching her.” [the victim] on the left side of her face,” the incident report states.[She] Q. “Despite Ms. Q. Scott’s claims that she was pregnant, Ms. Rhoden stated that she could smell a distinct odor of alcohol from Ms. Q. Scott,” the report states.
3. Southwest Airlines Incident While Traveling
In March 2023, a plane took off from Dallas to Phoenix. The plane quickly turned from peaceful to aggressive as the man claimed another passenger hit his wife, Fox News Digital reported.
A video taken by a passenger on the plane captured the incident between the two.
The fight broke out in the aisle of the plane.
“You’re fucked, you’re fucked,” one of the men in a jacket and hat can be heard saying at the beginning of the video, along with a heavily tattooed passenger. Hold each other tightly. Other passengers can be seen on either side of the two men trying to separate them.
“Get off him,” a passenger was heard saying.
After a person believed to be a passenger separated the two, a man wearing a jacket and hat reached over the seat and threw a punch.
“No more punches,” someone can be heard yelling after throwing a punch.

A second video of the incident shows a man wearing a jacket and hat telling everyone what happened and what led to the fight.
“He aggressively approached me with his family,” the man said. “I will sit in prison because you are close to my family. I will die for my family.”
“That’s why I beat your a–” he continued. “There is no other reason.”
FOX News Digital reported that the Dallas Police Department announced that no arrests have been made in the case.
4. Battle of the Frontier Aviation Skies
In the summer of 2023, two women got into an argument on a flight from Philadelphia to Las Vegas.
In the dimly lit video, one woman repeatedly says, “Shut up, shut up.”

“Don’t touch me,” one of the women repeatedly shouted at one of the flight attendants.
The woman who recorded the video told Fox News Digital in July 2023 that the two women who were arguing were traveling together.
A woman who witnessed the incident said one of the women was sent to another seat by a male flight attendant, but the situation did not subside and the cursing and yelling continued.

The flight was diverted to Denver International Airport and departed for its destination due to an altercation between two passengers.
At the end of all the commotion, a video focusing on one of the two women involved in the altercation shows her being escorted off the plane, screaming profanities as she exits the plane. It’s reflected.
Upon arrival in Denver, the two female passengers were escorted off the plane by Denver police, Fox News Digital reported. Video shows passengers clapping as unruly passengers are removed from the plane.
