Federal court rejects Hunter Biden’s appeal on gun charges, sets up June 3 trial

A federal judge has rejected Biden’s eldest son Hunter’s appeal on three firearms charges and set a June 3 trial date in Delaware.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit reportedly rejected Hunter’s request to consider throwing out the lawsuit, citing lack of jurisdiction. Thursday’s court filing.

“This appeal is dismissed because defendant has failed to show that the district court’s order is appealable prior to final judgment,” the court’s order states.

Mariellen Noreika, the U.S. District Judge for the District of Delaware, who is handling the case, wrote: schedule order This follows an appeals court ruling to begin a three- to six-day jury trial on three felony firearm charges in June.

Hunter, 54, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including two counts of false statements and one count of possession of a firearm by an illegal drug abuser.

If convicted, the felony carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.
