Former President Trump praised his 18-year-old son Barron on Friday as a “smart kid,” adding that the former eldest son likes to give his father political advice.
The would-be 2024 Republican nominee said on Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT after being asked by the host whether he had given Barron advice about how “messy” politics can be, saying, “I don’t think he’s seen it. I’m here. There’s no need to ask.”
“He’s a smart guy,” Trump continued. “You don’t have to ask too much about him, but he’s a great guy. He’s a little on the tall side. I’ll tell you, he’s tall. But he was handsome and a really good student. He likes politics.”

He added that Barron, who turned 18 in March and can vote for the first time this year, likes to give political advice.
“It’s funny, sometimes he says to me, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’ Anyway, he’s a good guy, he’s a senior in high school and he’s going to college. That’s it.”
