Biden says Trump ‘snapped’ after 2020 election loss

President Biden said in a speech to supporters in Seattle that former President Donald Trump “went mad” after losing the 2020 presidential election.

“Obviously… when he lost in 2020, something snapped inside him,” Biden said at the fundraiser, according to reporters who were present. “Not only is he obsessed with losing in 2020, he’s clearly unfazed. Listen to what he’s telling people.”

CNN first reportedBiden is reflect On what will be different this election cycle, as the same two candidates prepare for a rematch.

Biden’s comments follow the fourth week of Trump’s criminal hush money case in Manhattan, making him the first current or former U.S. president to do so.

He also said he was happy with the current state of his campaign, but acknowledged it would be another close race.

“I feel good about the state of the campaign, but I know it’s close,” Biden said.

Mr. Biden has said he is confident, but he still trails Mr. Trump in most polls. According to Decision Desk Headquarters/The Hill, national polls show Trump leading Biden by 0.02 percentage points.

Hill asked the Biden campaign for further comment on his statement.

CNN reported that the fundraiser was held at the home of former Microsoft executive John Shirley.

Biden told donors he would do his best to “not disappoint you.”
