Trump team knocks Biden campaign Mother’s Day video: ‘Sad’

Former President Trump’s campaign fired back at the Biden campaign, which ran an ad on Mother’s Day attacking Trump’s stance on abortion and family separation.

“Donald Trump wants to authorize legislation that would separate mothers from their children and strip them of access to IVF and monitoring of women’s pregnancies,” Biden-Harris Headquarters said. Account posted on Sunday When you post an ad on social platform X.

“This Mother’s Day, please do a favor to the mothers in your life: No Trump,” the campaign added, using a refrain that punctuates the ad itself.

In a post on X on Monday, President Trump’s spokesman Stephen Chan called the ad “disgusting” and criticized the Biden campaign for using Mother’s Day to go after Trump.

“How sad, pathetic and despicable are crooked Joe Biden and his campaign to make such a disgusting ad on such a happy day? “President Trump continues to live rent-free in his pea-sized brain, even on Mother’s Day,” Newsweek first reported Sunday. Chan said in a statement published on .

The Biden campaign counterattacked, citing President Trump’s anger and indignation over this.

“The Trump campaign is outraged that we are highlighting Donald Trump’s extreme history and dangerous policies. Treating mothers the way Donald Trump treats them is “sad, pathetic and cowardly.” Because it’s only men. “He harbors so much anger, resentment, and hatred that he wants to tear apart families, ban IVF, and advocate for huge corporations over expanding the child tax credit,” Biden campaign spokeswoman Lauren Hitt said in a statement. “I support tax cuts.”

The 40-second Biden campaign ad criticizes Trump’s comments from the Oval Office about abortion and controversial immigration policies at the border.

“This is how President Trump treats his mother,” the ad reads in all caps.

In the background of the ad, a video of President Trump saying, “I told my family, ‘If you come, I’ll leave you,’ but they don’t come,” is shown, and then quickly cuts to footage of a mother crying. She is apparently separated from her family.

Additionally, the ad is a nod to President Trump’s recent interview with Time magazine, when asked if he thought states should monitor women’s pregnancies to know if they were getting an abortion after a state ban. emphasizes the answer.

President Trump responded, “I think they might do that.” Again, we need to talk to each state. ”

The ad cuts to an interview with President Trump, in which he is asked if he believes in basic punishment for abortion, and he replies, “There has to be some form of punishment.”

Asked to clarify whether he meant “for women,” Trump replied, “Yes.”

The ad then features President Trump touting his role in overturning Roe v. Wade, before cutting to another clip in which Trump says things are “going really well.”

The ad comes as Democrats seek to make abortion a major focus of their campaign, especially as increasingly restrictive anti-abortion laws continue to be passed in many Republican-led states.

President Trump has argued that states should be able to determine their own abortion policies, either through legislation or voting systems. He also attacked Democrats for being too “radical” on the issue.

President Trump then tried to walk back his remarks about the state surveilling women over abortion.
