Missouri State Police said the robber used a stolen credit card days after the robbery to order pizza and have it delivered to his apartment.

Susie Wanner told KTVI-TV that her parents’ home was burglarized on Dec. 25, and in addition to her credit cards, Christmas presents were stolen from under the Christmas tree.
“I signed him up for the Cigar of the Month club, so it was a box of cigars, a Cardinals whiskey glass, and a hot sauce making kit,” Wanner laughed. “Fortunately, it wasn’t that expensive.”
Police said Scholtes ordered the pizza just two days later, on Dec. 27.
“He had to pay child support.”
On January 12, a man was arrested after breaking into South County Mall to steal jewelry and attempting to flee on an electric scooter.
Around 1 a.m., mall security called the police, who arrived at the mall and instructed the man on the scooter to stop. he ignored their orders, I tried to run away quicklyBut a police officer tackled him to the ground. He was later identified as Scholtes.
Police searched the man and found he had a loaded Glock 23 gun on his right hip, a knife on his left hip, and a bulletproof plate on his chest. Also found was pepper spray, fake security badges and stolen jewelry.

Police were then able to collect data related to the Christmas Day robbery from the man’s cell phone. On April 24, police searched Scholtes’ home and found one of the stolen presents and a piece of Christmas gift wrapping paper with the shipping label still attached.
Scholtes was charged with first-degree robbery and three counts of theft, according to the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office. He remains in the Clayton County Jail.
The suspect told police that he robbed the mall store because he needed to pay child support.
KTVI asked Wanner how he would explain the robbery after learning he had ordered pizza using a stolen credit card.
“Well, I mean, I’m not very smart!” She laughed.
