Directed by Dennis Dugan, Sandler starred in the original “Happy Gilmore” through Universal Pictures and also helped write the screenplay. Nearly 30 years later, this golf comedy remains one of Sandler’s most popular and legendary films.
Sandler plays Happy Gilmore, a hockey player who has some trouble managing his anger, but who discovers he’s actually quite good at golf. Well, he ends up joining his PGA Tour to raise money for his grandmother. She was about to lose her house for not paying her property taxes (which she really is one of the stupidest taxes in existence). While on the circuit, he comes face to face with a villain named Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher MacDonald. Carl Weathers and Julie Bowen are also included in the supporting cast.

Funnily enough, this was confirmed on the same day that I was accused of a corrupt property tax bill. I want to rant, but I suddenly feel like participating in a golf tournament…
