Fox anchor applauds Kansas City Chiefs kicker’s controversial remarks

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham on Thursday praised Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker for giving a controversial speech that included remarks about women in the workforce.

Butker’s commencement speech at Benedictine College highlighted his conservative political stances, including attacks on in vitro fertilization, surrogacy, gay pride marches, “degenerate cultural values,” abortion, and President Joe Biden. It was revealed.

The three-time Super Bowl champion told the women in the audience that it was “the most diabolical lie” to tell about their careers.

“Some of you may go on to successful careers in the world,” Butker said. “But if I had to guess, I’d say the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you’re bringing into the world.”

Ingraham praised Butker’s remarks and said his words took “courage.”

“But in an age when woke secularists control the media, corporate America, Hollywood, and most universities, and are public witnesses to your Christian faith? Speaking out really does everything… This requires courage because it may mean losing,” she said.

Ingraham criticized the NFL for distancing itself from Butker’s comments after they were criticized as sexist, but he also hit back at claims of sexism.

“He never said women should stay at home, or that women shouldn’t be doctors or lawyers or whatever they wanted to be, or that they should own their own businesses,” she said. “He said one of the most important titles of all is…housewife. Well, because home is important. But you know he passed a decree that women could never work again.” You might have thought it was out.”

Butker’s speech went viral online, sparking widespread outrage, and commenters were quick to point out that Butker’s own mother is an accomplished medical physicist. Even his Chiefs rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers. Made fun Butker released a video posing in the kitchen during the team’s schedule.

Ingraham’s comments were very different from her reactions to other professional athletes’ political comments. When NBA star LeBron James spoke out against former President Trump in 2018, Ingraham infamously told him:Shut up and dribble

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) similarly endorsed Butker on Thursday. Post He said, “I couldn’t be more proud to call Harrison Butker a friend.”

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg also defended Butker amid the backlash.

“These are his beliefs and he welcomes them,” Goldberg said on Thursday’s episode of “The View.” “You don’t have to believe them. Right? You don’t have to accept them.”
