Tony McFarr, Chris Pratt’s longtime stuntman, passed away on Monday, Fox News Digital confirmed. He was 47 years old.
“Tests have already been conducted and the cause and manner of death are pending toxicology results,” the Orange County Coroner’s Office told Fox News Digital.
Mr. McFarr (full name Antonio McFaul) co-starred with Mr. Pratt in several films, including 2015’s “Jurassic World” and 2017’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
They co-starred in “Passengers” in 2016 and reunited in 2018 for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”

On Thursday, Pratt paid tribute to McFarr in a written post shared to Instagram.
”“I was shocked to hear of the passing of my friend and former stuntman Tony McFarr,” the 44-year-old actor wrote. “We did a few movies together. We spent endless hours on set playing golf, drinking whiskey, and smoking cigars.

“I’ll never forget how tough he was. I remember getting a bad shot in the head[in the title scene of Guardians 2]and getting a couple of staples in the head. I was ready to get back to work and hit the road again.”
“He was an absolute stud. Always a gentleman and a professional. He will be greatly missed. My best wishes to his friends and family, especially his daughter.”
Pratt also posted photos of himself and McFarr in matching outfits and hairstyles on the set of Jurassic World and Passengers.

In 2016, Pratt shared a behind-the-scenes snap with McFarr on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
“This is me and stuntman Tony McFaul (Tommy Harper’s stunt coordinator and first AD Lars Windsor) on set,” Pratt wrote.

MacFar worked as a stunt double for other Hollywood stars. He replaced Jon Hamm in 2018’s Tag, and replaced Brendan Fraser in 2019’s The Poison Rose.
McFarr also performed stunts in the Marvel films Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).

His other film credits as a stunt performer include The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Pitch Perfect 3. ” and “Logan Lucky.” “Fast and Furious 7,” “The Accountant,” and “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.”

Although known primarily for his stunt work, McFarr made his screen debut as an actor in the first season finale of Burn Notice in 2007. He returned to the show in the fourth season for a guest appearance as he “Stunt Billy”. In 2010.
