A man suspected of stabbing a woman in the neck at Clark University in Washington state last week was tracked down and arrested, authorities said.
Salvador Aguilar, 31, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with first-degree assault and theft of a motor vehicle. FOX13 Oregon report.
Detectives followed leads to a residential area in the 2600 block of St. Johns Boulevard and found Aguilar asleep in his car. KATU TV reported.
Aguilar allegedly stabbed a woman in the neck outside the Archer Gallery on Clark University’s campus on Tuesday, prompting a temporary lockdown.

Vancouver police said at the time that a woman was sitting outside a building when she reported seeing an unknown man approaching her, screaming for help.
She told police she thought the man had hit her, but when she saw blood she realized he had been stabbed. The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Aguilar was being held on $500,000 bail on charges of assault and auto theft, according to online jail records.

A man matching the suspect’s description was also involved in a separate incident in one of the university’s parking lots on Monday, but Aguilar has not been charged in connection with that incident.

Aguilar has also been charged in previous incidents including disorderly conduct, burglary and malicious mischief.
