Singapore Airlines Flight 321 was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok, Thailand after “severe turbulence” killed one person.
Video has emerged showing complete chaos on board after a Singapore Airlines Boeing plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok this week after “severe turbulence” killed one passenger.
Footage taken on Tuesday shows debris strewn across the cabin of Singapore Airlines Flight 321 and bloodstains that appear to have been splattered on the overhead bin.
“In all my years of flying, I’ve never experienced anything like this,” Andrew Davis, a traveler on the flight from London to Singapore, told Reuters.
“At first there was an immediate sense of disbelief, but then the plane felt very… very level and I could see that it was clearly a gentleman.” [who died] “I needed help. So I got up and helped some of the passengers remove him from his seat, laid him down on the floor near the bulkhead, and helped medical personnel on the plane and thankfully… Several passengers survived,” he added. Mr Davies said there was an Australian woman on board the plane who “spent the rest of the flight holding the hand of the deceased man’s wife”. The deceased was identified in media reports as a 73-year-old British man, although Mr Davies said his wife was “severely injured”.
Ms Davis told Reuters the Australian tourists “comforted her, chatted to her and kept her company”. [it was] It’s nice to see the goodness in people and how people help each other, do the right thing for each other, help each other, and be kind. ”

“All the cabin crew that I saw were injured,” he added. “There was not a single person who worked for Singapore Airlines who wasn’t injured. One cabin crew member in front of me… had terrible pain in his lower back. But he continued to serve people, help people where he could, get medical help. I think the Singapore Airlines staff were very dear. They went through a terrible ordeal too, so my heart goes out to them.”

Singapore Airlines said on Wednesday that 74 passengers and six crew members remained in Bangkok, including “those receiving medical treatment and their families and loved ones who were on board the plane.” announced. “On behalf of the Singapore Airlines Board, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the passengers who lost their lives in the crash of Flight SQ321 on 21 May 2024,” said Singapore Airlines Chairman Peter Shea. Ta. “We want to assure all the passengers and crew on board our aircraft that we are committed to supporting them during this difficult time.”
A Bangkok hospital where the injured were taken told The Associated Press on Wednesday that 20 passengers on the plane were being treated in intensive care and that 104 people overall were receiving medical treatment.
Josh Silverstone, 24, who was released from the hospital on Wednesday, told The Associated Press that he only suffered a cut to his eye and a chipped tooth, but it could be much worse. “Everything was going well until I got back to the airport, but then I couldn’t stop vomiting. I couldn’t walk, it was pretty bad.”
