‘I’ve Earned the Ability to Go Back to My Family’

Democratic-controlled Los Angeles has been mired in crime in recent years as the city and county adopted decriminalization policies that decriminalized a wide range of crimes. As a result, criminals have become emboldened and are targeting wealthy areas that were once thought to be free of illicit activities.

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón (D) implemented a zero-bail policy that put criminal suspects back on the streets before their trial, then reversed it when he faced a recall, but the policy is back in place for 2023.

Gascón also issued a policy directive to help illegal immigrants who commit crimes avoid deportation.

Under Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, California is experiencing a mass exodus of families and businesses fed up with exorbitant taxes and soaring crime. As a result, California has a record budget deficit that has ballooned to $28 billion.
