Highlights and lowlights from the Rangers’ 3-0 loss to the Panthers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night:
1. Matthew Tkachuk
Florida’s superstar was all over the game, scoring the opening goal, landing hits and making his impact felt all over the ice.
2. Sergey Bobrovsky
The players in front of Bobrovsky made it easy for him, but the goalkeeper was excellent whenever needed, including saving Mika Zibangedo’s shot with his toe late in the second half.
3. Alexander Barkov
Barkov, the Soerke Trophy winner, did his best on defense, doing most of his work against a Rangers top line that never really got going.
