“That wasn’t the best move,” boxer Ryan Garcia said when asked about his rumored engagement to adult film star Savannah Bond last month.
During a recent appearance “BS w/Jake Paul” podcast, Garcia said the breakup came just over a month after he proposed on a private plane, as seen in a video shared on his X account.
“Have you all broken up or something?” Paul asked, to which Garcia, 25, replied, “Yeah.”
It’s been a tumultuous past few days for Garcia.
Boxing journalist Dan Rafael reported: On Thursday, Garcia tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in tests administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) the day before and after his April 20 WBC light welterweight championship victory over Devin Haney by majority decision.
“I, Ryan Garcia, have never tested positive for drugs in my life,” Garcia said in the video before proposing to Bond.
During the podcast appearance, Garcia was asked if she had accepted the ring, to which she replied, “Once you give the ring, you can’t do that.”
Garcia explained that he proposed after the first or second date, adding, “Shout out to Savannah Bond.”
Later in the podcast, Garcia said he plans to FaceTime Bonds.
“How long have you guys been dating?” Paul asked, to which Garcia replied, “We’re not dating.”
That’s when Garcia started FaceTiming someone and said, “Baby, my girlfriend. What are you doing now?”
The moment appeared to bewilder Paul’s co-hosts, with one asking: “What’s going on?”
Garcia pointed the phone at Paul and Bond said, “You’re the best! I love you!”
“It’s weird that you’re cheating on me with other guys,” Garcia joked.
After hanging up the phone, Garcia declined to say how the two met.
According to photos obtained by The Washington Post, Garcia was spotted holding hands with model Grace Boulle on a Miami boardwalk just days after her engagement to Bond was revealed in April.
All of this happened on the heels of Garcia’s recent divorce from ex-wife Andrea Serena. Garcia has a 3-year-old daughter, Bella, and a son, Henry Leo Garcia, who was born in December 2023.
Garcia announced the divorce in January in an Instagram post that has now been deleted, the same day she shared the news of the birth of her son.
The boxer filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” Court documents obtained by TMZThey have been together since 2019.
