Manhattan’s largest community school district
approved In March, a resolution was passed recommending that the New York City Department of Education allow a public review of its policy of allowing cross-dressing boys to participate in girls’ sports.
This suggestion that the Department of Education should dare carry out a policy review involving parents, coaches and female athletes infuriated extremists, who have since targeted dissenting parents with smears and abuse.
More than a dozen wealthy Democratic officials joined the attack this week, suggesting Community Education Council District 2’s Resolution 248 is rooted in “bigotry and hatred.”

Note Initially, in 2019, the New York City Department of Education said,Gender Guidelines“This resulted in several school policy changes, most significantly replacing biological sex categories with gender identity in all areas, including Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) sports teams and participation.”
“The guidelines were developed by the city’s first LGBTQ liaison officer and stakeholders who were already in favor of replacing sex with gender identity.”
Section 9 of the guidelines states that students can participate in contact sports and athletic activities based on so-called gender identity.
“Public information about the 2019 gender guidelines development process contains no evidence that female athletes, coaches, sports medicine physicians, or evolutionary biology experts were consulted or considered, despite a long history of female athletes fighting for fair and meaningful access to athletic participation,” the resolution states. “The guidelines were developed by the city’s first LGBTQ liaison and stakeholders who were already in favor of replacing sex with gender identity.”
According to the resolution, the gender ideologues who wrote the guidelines also failed to take into account that “the importance of sports participation to girls’ academic achievement, mental health, physical health and social-emotional well-being is well documented.”
The resolution stopped short of recommending that the policy be rescinded, instead simply calling on the DOE to convene a review committee that would include female athletes, parents, coaches, relevant medical professionals, and other experts with relevant expertise whose opinions were ignored.
“We can choose to close our eyes and refuse to acknowledge that there are differences among athletes.”
Leonard Silverman, Chairman of CECD 2
Said“It’s an issue where definitions of gender continue to evolve,” The New York Times reported.
“We can choose to close our eyes and refuse to acknowledge that there are differences among athletes,” Silverman said, “or we can try to have an honest, open and transparent discussion about these issues.”
The resolution passed by an 8-3 vote on March 20, much to the dismay of city council members, actress Elliot Page, and other activists who were reportedly in attendance.
The collapse of the left wing
The vote was unpopular with the extremists present.
Jared Danker, a New York City Education Department official who is not straight, said the resolution “alienates and discriminates against students who need our recognition and support.”
report New York Post.
“I am outraged that we are considering a resolution that targets transgender girls and sports. It is absolutely shocking that such a regressive and harmful resolution is being proposed in a school district in the middle of Manhattan,” said New York City Council Member Eric Bottcher.
Alaina Daniels, a cross-dressing activist who runs after-school programs in the area, suggested the proposal amounted to a threat to “trans existence.”
“We are under attack right here in this room,” he said.
State Senator Brad Hoylman Segal
Said “It is shocking that such a regressive and harmful solution is being proposed in a school district that covers most of Manhattan,” the statement said.
“Resolution 248 is based on the false premise that gender identity policies negatively impact female athletes and stems from the mistaken belief that allowing transgender students to participate in sports will diminish the experience of other student-athletes,” Hoylman-Sigal said.
Democrat Maude Maron, who unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2022 and co-sponsored the resolution, disputed the extremists’ claims, saying there is nothing “transphobic” in the resolution.
“If we have a proper and honest discussion, the result may be that nothing changes and everyone realizes that these guidelines are perfect as is,” Maron said.
After the vote, the DOE reiterated its commitment to allowing transvestites to participate in sports “consistent with gender identity.”
Democrats jump on the attack
On May 20, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), State Assemblyman Tony Simone, State Senators Kiz Krueger and Brad Hoylman-Sigal, five City Council members, and other Democratic Party officials circulated a letter to CECD2 calling the resolution “hateful, discriminatory, and deeply harmful to New York City students in the 2nd District.”
“Since Bill 248 was passed in March, the Minister of Finance [David C.] “Ms. Banks made it clear that this resolution is not in keeping with the Department of Education’s values and has made the firm statement that the recommendations set forth in the resolution will not be accepted or considered,” the letter continued. “We are proud of the Chancellor’s strong response and believe that the CEC must begin the work of repairing relationships within the district by removing #248 from the public record.”
Nadler is seeking reelection
Republican Mike Zambruskas — and his allies argued that “some of you may be thinking that this resolution is ‘simply a call for dialogue.'” [but] In reality, that conversation is based on the anti-LGBT+ rhetoric that permeates our country, state, city and school district, and the impact is heartbreaking.”
The letter suggested that if the proposal was not withdrawn, the cross-dressers could be driven to suicide.
“Our school system must uphold justice and fairness, not bigotry and hatred,” the letter continued. “Our local education councils must fight for all students, not attack, ridicule or marginalize the vulnerable.”
Member of Parliament
Simone He later told The Times that he was “personally outraged” by the proposal, claiming it would “create unnecessary controversy.”
Simone and the other letter writers may not want to have the conversation because most New Yorkers disagree with them on this issue.
University of Siena poll
Revealed In April, it was announced that a majority of New York state Democrats and more than 75 percent of Republicans and independents “support requiring high school athletes to compete with athletes of the same sex.”
National Gallup Poll
Revealed last year 69% of Americans believe that cross-dressers should only be able to compete on sports teams that correspond to their actual gender.
