Greg Olsen isn’t going down without a fight.
The former NFL tight end has spent the past two years as a commentator for Fox’s No. 1 NFL broadcast team, with Tom Brady now taking over the top spot.
Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox in 2022 and will become the network’s new lead commentator alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhart.
The move will demote Olsen from his top role to the second broadcast team alongside Joe Davis.
To add salt to the wound, Olsen won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality – Event Analyst on Tuesday night.
But Olsen said in an interview with Front Office Sports on Thursday that he would like to take the top analyst job again, even if it means finding a new job.
“My dream is still to be the top analyst, whether it’s at Fox or somewhere else,” Olsen said. “As long as I’m doing this, that’s never going to change. I’m not happy just being there. I’m not happy just to have a seat at the table. I want the top seat, wherever that’s possible, and I’m not going to stop working for that.”
“I’m more motivated than ever.”

Olsen first joined the team during his playing days as a guest commentator on Fox, filling in during the bye week.
He became a full-time announcer for the network in 2021 after retiring from the NFL.
Brady is set to retire after the 2022 season, which will mark his first season in the broadcast booth.
