The audience was very receptive to Trump’s words, and he said, “But above all else, New Yorkers have common sense, we have common sense. Old-fashioned American common sense is what I want to bring back to the White House, and it’s the same thing we’ve had for the last four years.”
“We’ve rebuilt our military. We’ve cut taxes — the biggest tax cuts in history, the biggest regulatory cuts in history. We defeated ISIS,” Trump continued, promising his supporters, “With bad Joe Biden out of the way, I’m going to quickly rebuild the greatest economy in the history of the world.”
“Look, we’ve had the greatest economy in history. It doesn’t matter if you’re black or brown or white or what color you are. It doesn’t matter. We’re all Americans and we’re going to come together as Americans,” Trump said, noting that President Joe Biden’s policies have particularly hurt black and Hispanic communities.
He continued:
African-Americans are losing real income by 5.6 percent. African-Americans are being slaughtered. Hispanic-Americans are being slaughtered. And the biggest impact, the biggest negative impact on the millions of people who are coming into this country is on blacks and Hispanics. They’re losing their jobs, they’re losing their homes, they’re losing everything they can lose.
“They are the ones who are most affected by what’s going on, not just the fact that their schools are closed, their parks are closed, their hospitals are closed,” Trump said.
Throughout the rally, the crowd began chanting repeatedly, “Four more years!”, “We love Trump!” and “Build the wall!”
