New York Rangers fans are considered the third-most aggressive fanbase out of all 32 teams in the National Hockey League, a damning new survey has revealed.

One in three Rangers fans said they boo the opposing team, while one in four said they cheer when a rival team is injured.

Their cold attitude towards their opponents earned the Blueshirt cheering squad an overall “aggression score” of 82.8%, behind only Chicago fans (96.9%) and Colorado Avalanche diehards (94%).

Polite New York Islanders fans were considered the 31st most hostile with a score of 8.3%, second from the bottom. The best-mannered fans support the Ottawa Senators (5.5%).
