
Ana Navarro criticized Latinos who voiced support for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, saying their attitude toward immigrants is “very stupid.” Daily Mail.
She said some Latinos have forgotten their roots and believe they will fit into American society better if they are anti-immigration, suggesting that this mentality is fueling rifts in American society.

“Some Latinos forget that they came here as immigrants and they try to close the door and think that being anti-immigrant makes them more American or whatever. That’s a very stupid attitude.”
She pointed to the 2019 mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, where the shooter specifically targeted Hispanics. Navarro said that when racists attack Hispanics, they aren’t concerned about their immigration status, just that they aren’t like them.
“What people don’t realize is that a guy who drives thousands of miles to pick up Latinos at a Walmart in Texas doesn’t care when you got here. He doesn’t care what your accent is,” she continued.
“What he’s looking for is, does it look like me, does it resemble me? That’s what he’s looking for. So when people are against something, they’re not asking for your papers, they’re just against that group.”
Fox News Digital report Trump held a rally in the Bronx on Thursday that drew a sizable crowd, with estimates ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 people in attendance, though the Trump campaign put attendance at around 25,000.
Despite the large Latino population, President Trump has not toned down his criticism of illegal immigration, saying it leads to rape, abuse and the spread of disease.
Jim Acosta criticized Trump’s comments as “inflammatory rhetoric.” [used] “It’s a way to demonize immigrants in order to appeal to black and Hispanic voters.”
“Trump has a high approval rating among Hispanics,” Acosta told Navarro, “and he has a high approval rating among African-Americans. That’s certainly a threat to the president’s reelection campaign. What do you think about that discrepancy?”
“People already know that he’s misogynistic, racist and has made divisive comments, but they don’t seem to take what he says literally or seriously,” Navarro replied. “They think it’s part of the entertainment of a clown act.”
