Key West, Florida, is known for its stunning sunsets, and it has the nightly festivals to prove it.

Key West’s nightly sunset celebration takes place at Mallory Square, which according to its website has an event that dates back to the 1960s.

The celebration begins approximately two hours before sunset, during which time Mallory Square will host performances by musicians, magicians and more.

Mallory Square has plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat and shop while you wait for the sun to go down.

2. Agra, India

The Taj Mahal is a popular tourist attraction in India.

There are plenty of places to sit back and watch the sun set over the Taj Mahal.

If you want to watch the sunset in Egypt’s capital, Cairo, you should visit Al-Azhar Park.

According to the park’s website, it is 72 acres in size and has many scenic spots perfect for watching the sunset.

Cambodia is home to beautiful beaches and ancient temples that are archaeological wonders.

Siem Reap offers some amazing sunsets, and many visitors head to the Angkor Wat temple complex, which is said to be the largest religious structure in the world, covering over 400 acres, according to History.com.

7. Maui, Hawaii

A tropical getaway to Maui offers plenty of places to enjoy the sunset during your vacation.

Kapalua Bay is a Maui spot where you’re guaranteed to see beautiful colors spread across the sky.

Other beaches on Maui where you can watch the sunset with your feet in the sand include Kaanapali, Makena (Big Beach) and Keawakapu.

8. Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Watching the sunset in Grand Canyon National Park is a unique experience, and while you can get a beautiful view no matter where you are, some locations are better than others.

Mather Point is one of the many spots where tourists gather to watch the sunset from a great lookout point, along with Yavapai Point and Hopi Point.

According to the National Park Service website, Mather Point is the first stop on the westbound Kaibablim (orange) bus route from the visitor center, so it’s very easy to get to.

It’s a short walk to Yavapai Point.

If your destination is Hopi Point, you can take a shuttle or walk there on the Rim Trail, which is about a 2.5 mile hike according to the National Park Service website.

9. Uluru, Australia

Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a huge monolithic rock formation in the Northern Territory. It is one of Australia’s most famous landmarks.

Many people head to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to watch the sunrise and sunset.

The national park is approximately a five hour drive from Alice Springs.

Although climbing Uluru closed permanently in October 2019, there are still plenty of other spots to watch the sunset.

10. Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai offers a variety of options for watching the sunset.

For breathtaking views of the city, nothing beats a trip to the top of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure in the world.
