Morgan Wallen’s Nashville bar will be closed Memorial Day weekend.

Warren partnered with TC Restaurant Group to open This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen in Nashville, and the restaurant group said in a statement that the process of opening the restaurant “requires additional time” and that it will not be ready in time for the holiday weekend.

“We’re proud of our team who has worked tirelessly to prepare for the opening of Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen. Building a six-story storefront from the ground up with hundreds of team members is a massive amount of work and a complex process,” a representative for TC Restaurant Group told Fox News Digital.

The statement continued: “Once open, we hope This Bar will be a special experience for our guests. Unfortunately, that process will take longer and we won’t be able to open and offer that experience over Memorial Day weekend. Rest assured it will be well worth the wait, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.”

The bar’s official Instagram account simply features the name Warren’s Bar and a panoramic video of downtown Nashville with the words “Opening Summer 2024.” The video was posted 14 weeks ago.

A representative for Warren did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Fans, who had plans to hit up Warren’s bar over the long weekend, expressed their disappointment in the comments section.

“Glad to be here after an 8 hour drive and the news article an hour ago…” one user wrote.

Another added: “So they’re delaying the opening? Pretty disappointing as I purchased flights, hotels and all travel arrangements from NH. A lot of my hard earned money.”

“I drove 12 hours for this…” another user wrote.

A source told Billboard that the postponement of Warren’s bar has nothing to do with the Nashville City Council’s decision this week to deny approval for the bar’s exterior signage.

On Thursday, the Nashville City Council rejected a plan to put up a 20-foot-tall sign advertising the bar on Nashville’s downtown strip, citing the singer’s past controversies, specifically that he has been seen smoking in bars in the past. Racist slurs He also allegedly threw a chair off a roof in Nashville.

The resolution would have allowed the bar’s owners to put up a large neon sign outside its establishment, similar to the bars of other country stars in Nashville, including Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert, but the City Council voted 30-3 to reject the sign.

“I don’t want to see a sign with the name of someone who throws a chair off a balcony or says racist things,” Councilwoman Delysia Porterfield said. The Tennessean.

According to the outlet, 24th District Councilwoman Brenda Gadd said Warren is “someone who continues to get second chances.”

“Warren is a fellow East Tennessean. He gives all of us a bad name. His words are hateful and his actions are harmful,” added 14th District Councilman Jordan Huffman. Additionally, Councilwoman Antoinette Lee said speaking out “maybe it will give those engaging in these harmful actions a second thought.”

On April 7, Warren He was charged with three felonies. Nashville police have arrested a suspect after a chair was allegedly thrown from the six-story roof of Chief’s Bar and landed near two officers on Broadway.

Warren’s attorney, Warrick Robinson, who waived the country music star’s initial appearance and appeared on his behalf, described the court date as a “settlement” that would allow Warren’s legal team and the district attorney’s office to discuss the case.

“This is obviously a very complicated case,” Robinson told reporters after the hearing. “It’s not going to go away without subpoenas and witnesses.”

Robinson explained that the case has been “reset” for August 15, when Warren will also be present.
