We’re Seeing More Attempts by Foreign Nationals to Penetrate Bases, ‘Two or Three Times a Week’

Speaking on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” broadcast Friday, Adm. Daryl Caudle, commander of the U.S. Navy’s naval force, said attempts by foreigners to enter military bases “are becoming more and more prevalent. The Navy alone is probably stopping these people at the gates two or three times a week,” adding that these foreigners are from a variety of countries and often have passports and documentation.

“We’re seeing more and more incidents of foreigners coming onto our military bases. We’re stopping foreigners at the entrance to our bases probably two or three times a week,” Caudle said.

Co-host Bill Hemmer then interjected, “A week?”

“It will take at least a week. This is just for the Navy, but there are people trying to get in,” Caudle replied.

“In many cases, they have passports and papers, but they do not have authorization to be on our bases in any way,” Caudle added. “It’s very difficult to determine the underlying motive in these types of incidents.”

“It’s Russian, it’s Chinese. It’s coming from a variety of countries. It’s on the rise,” Caudle added.
