On the first night of Memorial Day weekend, 10 people were shot, two of them fatally, in Chicago, where Mayor Brandon Johnson (Democrat) served as mayor.
ABC7 No. 7 report Two men were killed in a double homicide in which two men were shot in the head. Police found the two men in an alley near Leland and Troy streets around 11:30 p.m. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
NBC Chicago report Both men who died were in their 20s.

Breitbart News reported last week that three men were shot within 48 hours in the same location in Chicago.
Two men, aged 20 and 23, were shot at the same address at about 8pm on Wednesday night and one man, aged 48, was shot at the same address at about 12.30am on Friday morning.
Since January 1, 2024, there have been 179 murders in Chicago. according to of Chicago Sun-Times.
