Orioles’ Kyle Bradish removed after seven no-hit innings in win

CHICAGO — Baltimore right-hander Kyle Bradish pitched seven no-hitter innings Sunday before Danny Mendick gave the Chicago White Sox their first hit of the night with a home run off Danny Coulombe in the eighth.

Bradish struck out 11 and walked four in his fifth start of the season. He threw 103 pitches, 63 of which were strikes. Bradish’s career high was 107 pitches he threw on September 2 against Arizona.

Coulombe took to the mound in the eighth inning, and Mendick pinch-hit for him and hit his second home run of the season to left field.

The Orioles took a 3-1 lead on home runs by Adley Rutschman and Colton Kauser.

Corey Lee got the hardest hit ball off Bradish, hitting a liner down the warning track in right field to end the fourth inning.

Tommy Pham reached base in the third inning on an error by Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson.
