British pundits expressed anger on Sunday, accusing Brexit leader Nigel Farage of “racism” after he warned that there was a growing number of Muslims in the country who “hate” British values.
Sky News Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips“There is a growing number of young people in this country who do not subscribe to British values, who in fact detest many of our ideals, and I think you see them on the streets of London every Saturday,” Farage said.
Asked by Phillips if he was referring to Muslims in the UK, Farage replied: “Yes. Sadly, a recent poll found that 46% of British Muslims support Hamas, they support a terrorist organisation that is banned in this country.”
The Honorary President of the Reform UK Party referred to a Henry Jackson Society poll which found that almost half of British Muslims are sympathetic to Hamas terrorists, and only 24% believe that Hamas committed murder and rape during the October 7 terror attack on Israel, in which 1,200 people were killed and hundreds taken hostage.
The survey also found that a third of British Muslims want Sharia law to be implemented in the UK, and 52 percent support making it a criminal offence to display images depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
In response to Mr Phillips’ claim that he was assuming all Muslims were opposed to British values, Mr Farage said he was speaking about “part of that community”. “I’m not blaming them, I’m just stating a fact. What I’m doing is stating the fact that no one else is going to tell the truth about this.”
“Nobody in history has allowed into the country someone who is potentially more genuinely opposed to British values than Mr Sunak,” he added.
“More broadly, the biggest problem facing this country is the population explosion. And that’s not going to be discussed in this election. Why? Because Labour caused the population explosion and the Conservatives accelerated it, which has created problems of unimaginable proportions.”
“If you want mass immigration, vote Conservative; if you want mass immigration, vote Labour.”

[and] It’s dishonest. Every time you help him maintain his relevance, you facilitate the next, inevitable stage of his disgust.”
Some people supported Farage’s comments, including political commentator Darren Grimes. I don’t understand why anyone can’t see the clear threat that is right in front of us.”
