The Dallas Mavericks and their fans got a little fun on Sunday night with Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs tight end and partner of pop icon Taylor Swift attended Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals with teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
Mahomes, who played college basketball at Texas Tech, received a warmer reception from the Dallas crowd when he was shown on the video board between the first and second quarters of the playoff game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Kelce was first on the screen as fans at the American Airlines Center booed the NFL superstar, then the Mavs showed Mahomes and his wife on screen, both of whom were cheered by the crowd.
One video that went viral on X was captioned, “Travis Kelce gets booed while the crowd goes wild for Patrick Mahomes.”
But that’s not all.
The Mavs had a bit of fun promoting who’s who by posting on X that Mahomes and Kelce will also be playing in Sunday night’s game.

Mahomes was tagged in the post, but Kelce was mentioned a little differently.
“My Pat and @taylorswift13’s boyfriend are home!” Mavs tweeted along with a video of the two.
Kelce and Swift’s relationship has been one of the biggest stories of the 2023 NFL season, with Swift accompanying the Chiefs to the Super Bowl and flying in from Japan from the Elastomers to watch Kelce play in the big game.
The Mavericks took a 3-0 series lead with a 116-107 victory in the Western Conference finals and can clinch a spot in the NBA Finals with a win at Dallas on Tuesday.
Kelce and the Chiefs will be looking to win their third consecutive Super Bowl this season.
