‘Bachelor’ star Ryan Sutter shares photo of wife Trista after she reunites with family

Ryan Sutter is grateful to be reunited with his wife, Trista.

On Sunday, the former reality TV star posted an adorable black-and-white photo of the pair and their two children, 16-year-old son Maxwell and 15-year-old son Blakeslee, vacationing in Mexico.

“They say distance makes love grow stronger…I’ve found that to be true,” he wrote alongside the photo. “Distance also makes me feel more grateful, compassionate and thankful for all that someone does for me, with me and beside me.”

“It has brought questions and wonder and concern, and then answers and peace and blessings. It has brought time for reflection, projects, prayer and independence, but above all else, it has brought joy. Real joy. And that is really what it’s all about…”

Sutter ended his lengthy message by welcoming his wife back and adding the hashtags “#love #love #reunitedanditfeelssogood.”

The couple had been the subject of internet speculation following a series of cryptic messages written by both Ryan and Trista.

rumor It started bubbling earlier this month Ryan, 49, shared a message on Instagram, suggesting that Trista hadn’t celebrated Mother’s Day with her family.

“We know you want to be here on Mother’s Day,” he wrote, “and we hope so too. But being a mother sometimes means letting go of your kids’ hands, allowing them independence and inspiring their brave hearts.”

“She understood the situation, and I understood it, but nobody else understood. So it got worse. People came up with all sorts of creative ideas, like Trista had died, or we were in trouble, or it must be a midlife crisis.”

Ryan said being in the news again felt “weird” and “reminded me of how crazy life has been and how grateful I am for the life I have now.”

Trista, 51, later defended her husband’s hidden note in a seemingly ambiguous message of her own on Saturday.

“Come on guys. Can’t a girl around here go through a neurosis/trial separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace?! 😜🤣,” she jokingly began, alongside a photo of herself and her family.

The former reality TV star went on to explain that she had gained “perspective and an opportunity for personal growth” and that Ryan had chosen to “share his love for me with messages that will find me along the way.”

The mother-of-two said his words were “exactly what I needed to get through some serious self-doubt and fear – words of affirmation, my love language… that’s everything.”

Trista added that her husband “doesn’t owe anyone an explanation” and promised to tell the rest of the story “at the appropriate time.”

Trista and Ryan are the longest-running Bachelor couple. The two met on Trista’s season as the Bachelorette and got married in 2003.
