Police say an illegal immigrant has been arrested in Allegheny County, Virginia, on suspicion of abducting an underage girl from Louisiana.
Diego Sock Castro was arrested. Charged He was charged with kidnapping, lewd acts with a minor and assault after he allegedly abducted the girl from Louisiana and took her about 1,000 miles away to Virginia.
According to the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, the girl called police around 4 a.m. requesting help at the Love’s Travel Stop gas station.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene, they found the girl and Castro inside a four-door sedan with Arkansas license plates and registration.
During the investigation, deputies discovered the girl had been abducted in Louisiana and forced into Castro’s vehicle.
Castro was arrested at the scene and the girl was taken to a nearby hospital. She was eventually turned over to Child Protective Services. Castro was booked into the Allegheny County Regional Jail and placed on an ICE detention order.
