Immigrants in Chicago, Illinois, are causing a lot of trouble to police officers and businesses in the area.
Venezuelan immigrant Carlos Mavares Viloria was living at the Standard Club migrant shelter in downtown Chicago, but police and court documents say he’s been arrested 10 times since his arrival, CWB Chicago reported. report Monday.

He was released each time until his 10th arrest, but is currently being held in Cook County Jail.
According to the outlet, his first brush with police came when he was arrested for stealing items and food from a local Walmart. After he failed to show up in court, a judge issued a warrant for his arrest, but he was taken into custody for shoplifting at Macy’s.
Since then, he has been charged with possession of a cocaine pipe, further shoplifting, pointing a gun at a convenience store clerk, violating the orders of a security guard at a Walgreens and selling clothing without a license.
The CWB Chicago report details Viloria’s 10th arrest.
The incident happened in Pritzker Park on May 15, when Cook County sheriff’s deputies arrested him on multiple shoplifting charges stemming from a TJ Maxx at 11 North State Street, according to court records.
Viloria pushed one of the officers and struggled with him until he fell to the ground, while the other officer sustained injuries to his hand and arm, the report said.
According to court documents, Viloria was charged with felony aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting a police officer, reckless conduct and shoplifting merchandise valued at $450, including men’s clothing and a suitcase from TJ Maxx. The alleged thefts occurred on April 9, April 25, April 30 and May 7.
