The international ceremony on Omaha Beach will honour the approximately 160,000 soldiers from Britain, the United States, Canada and other countries who landed in Normandy on June 6, 1944.
Macron said on Tuesday during a visit to Meseberg, Germany, that he would provide details about France’s support for Ukraine when Zelensky visits the country next week for ceremonies marking the Normandy landings.
He said France would “do whatever is necessary, for as long as it takes” to support Ukraine.
