Author and podcast host Sadie Robertson Huff encourages this generation of young Christians to “be a light to the world.”
Hough, who rose to fame from the reality TV show “Duck Dynasty,” will host the 11th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards with Brandon Lake on TBN at 8 and 10 pm ET. She is also nominated for Podcast of the Year for her “WHOA That’s Good” podcast.
“It’s an honor to know that people are interested in this and are recommending it,” Huff said. Church Leaders“If people listen to my podcast and get the same thing that I get when I listen to other people’s podcasts, that would be very special to me.”
Additionally, she encouraged this generation of young Christians to “be the light of the world” because that’s what Jesus told his followers.
“When things get dark, I think you want to do what he tells you not to do and hide or be scared and say, ‘Oh, it’s so dark,'” Huff said.

But “you” are being called to be a light and “actually contribute to making the world a better place,” she continued. “So now is not the time to be scared. It’s not the time to hide. But it’s the time to take him at his word and be a light.”
Huff hopes people will “take seriously” the command Jesus gave and “respond to the calling on their lives.”
“In this generation, we’re so conflicted about our identity, who we are,” Huff said, “and I love that in the Bible, Jesus says, ‘You are the light of the world,’ and that’s your identity.”
“And when you step into that,” she concluded, “I think people become more confident in what they were born to do, because they get to live it.”
