Fan Group Madonna was sued for “knowingly and deceptively” promoting “The Celebration Tour.”
Justin Lipelez filed the class action lawsuit in Los Angeles on May 29, and it was obtained by Fox News Digital. The lawsuit claims that Madonna and her promoters “tricked” concert-goers into purchasing “expensive tickets” for a concert atmosphere they could not experience.

Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that concert-goers experienced “hot and uncomfortable temperatures” while Madonna was “lip-syncing” the show.
“Making audiences wait for hours in a hot and uncomfortable arena and then exposing them to pornography without warning shows a wanton disrespect for Madonna’s fans,” court documents state.

This isn’t the first lawsuit Madonna has faced from fans. The “Material Girl” singer has been sued several times for concerts that started later than advertised. Tickets for “The Celebration Tour” listed the concert as starting at 8 p.m., even though Madonna usually takes to the stage after 10 p.m.
According to the complaint obtained by Fox News Digital, a group of fans who attended the pop star’s concerts in Washington, D.C. on April 18 and 19 have sued Madonna for “false advertising, intentional and negligent misrepresentation, and the willful practice of unfair and deceptive trade practices.”

She was previously sued in New York by Michael Fellowes and Jonathan Hadden for “unfair, unfair or deceptive business practices” after the delayed start of her “Celebration Tour” in Brooklyn.
“Madonna has demonstrated extreme difficulty in guaranteeing an on-time or complete performance, and Defendants recognized that any statements regarding show start times were, at best, optimistic speculations,” the complaint, obtained by Fox News Digital, alleges.

Madonna’s legal team subsequently filed a motion to dismiss the New York class action lawsuit.
In court filings obtained by Fox News Digital, Madonna’s lawyers argued that the plaintiffs’ claim that the concert ended after 1 a.m. and that they “had to get up early to go to work” was not an “injury” worthy of damages.
“Plaintiffs speculate that ticket holders who left the venue after 1:00 a.m. may have had difficulty getting home or may have had to wake up early the next day for work,” Madonna’s motion to dismiss states. “This is not a cognizable injury.”
Madonna’s “Celebration Tour,” which would have marked her 40th anniversary in the entertainment industry, has been postponed to July 2023 after the star contracted a “serious bacterial infection” and required surgery. He was admitted to the ICU in June.
After recovering, she finally took to the stage in December.
