The bus was heading south when the unusual discovery was made. The bus travels between Towson and downtown Baltimore.
“I wasn’t on the bus, but just knowing something like that happened on a bus, that’s what we’ve been through recently,” Jeff McCoy, a resident who frequents the area, told WBAL.
The incident remains under investigation.
This comes after a series of incidents in recent months in which babies have been found in unusual places.

A baby’s body was found in a Florida dump last month. Bursela Denstacio Lugo, 34, admitted to giving birth to the baby outside her home on May 10. She said she did not know she was pregnant and did not go to the hospital because she was in the country illegally and did not have money to pay for medical care. She also admitted to dumping the baby’s body in the dump.
Denstacio Lugo was charged with misdemeanor possession of human remains, and her DNA was taken and the Department of Homeland Security was contacted.
In March, police in Leesburg, Virginia, said a local resident had discovered a “late-stage fetus” in a pond.
