Daily Mail report Tulsi Gabbard’s aunt was brutally beaten and stabbed to death by the woman’s alleged guardian.
Caroline Sinaviana Gabbard, 78, was found dead in the home of renowned Samoan author and playwright Papali’i Sia Figiel, 57. Authorities say Sinaviana Gabbard was murdered last Saturday, and Figiel reportedly turned himself in the following day.

Reports say the two were close friends and had been involved in an argument before the 78-year-old man was brutally murdered. However, it is unclear what sparked the argument. Reports say Figiel used a hammer and a knife to kill the victim. Both weapons were found at the crime scene.

Figiel turned himself in, was arrested, and charged with manslaughter, which was soon upgraded to murder after authorities gathered more evidence.
